Reveal Party: The Bras are Out and About!

Last night we held the second annual Bras for a Cure Reveal Party. With 38 creative, decorated bras entered into the contest, and upwards of 100 people showing up to view, vote and show support for their, or their friends entries, the party exceeded our expectations!

Some of the ladies from Curves in Veneta showed up to support their bra entry, view the other entries, and vote.

Now that the bras are out and about the store and on display, they’re ready for your votes! voting is open until Thursday, October 31st. You can come into the store, see them and vote while you’re in, or you can check them out at facebook.com/BrasforaCure or brasforacure.com and call us at 541-485-1261 to vote! We’ll be posting updates on how the voting is going, so “Like” Bras for a Cure on Facebook and to stay updated.

There’s no limit to the amount of votes you can place. The bra with the most votes wins! Select your vote for Grand Prize winner, and then you can select a bra for the categories.

The categories are:

1. Most Creative

2. Best Name/Title

3. Best Cancer Support Bra

4. Most Humorous

All proceeds go to the Willamette Valley Cancer Institute and Research Center for local help to those afflicted by cancer.The grand-prize winner, as well as the other category winners will be announce on November 4th at 11:30am at the Bra-Vo Final Showcase, being held at the Willamette Valley Cancer Institute. Everyone is welcome!

BRA-VO! Bras for a Cure – The Results

The votes for Bras for a Cure are in and finally counted – and if you’ve been wondering how to find out which decorated bra won and what the fundraising results were, here’s how: On Monday, November 5th, the Willamette Valley Cancer Institute and Research Center will be hosting BRA-VO! – the Bras for a Cure final showcase, where the entries will be on display one last time, and where the winners of the contest and the fundraising results will be announced!

So here’s what you need to  know to be there:

• The event is on Monday, November 5th
• At Willamette Valley Cancer Institute and Research Center : 520 Country Club Rd, Eugene, OR 97401.
• From 11:30 a.m. till noon

Everyone is welcome! Come and hear the results first-hand, and bring a friend.

A Successful Bras for a Cure REVEAL Party!!!

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, and we at Dandelions wanted to do something to help raise awareness and offer help for those afflicted by cancer. We decided to do our Bras for a Cure fundraising event where anyone could decorate a bra and enter it to be voted on in the Bras for a Cure competition. The entry fee and all the proceeds from the votes would go to benefit cancer patients and survivors at the Willamette Valley Cancer Institute Foundation. Last night to commence the voting,  we held our first Bras for a Cure REVEAL party – and it was such a success!!!

     

So many people from our community showed up to show their support and vote. We owe you so much thanks – the evening would not have been a success without you!!

Bras For A Cure Deadline Approaches.

Today is the final day to enter your bra creation into Dandelion’s Bras for a Cure contest, so if you’re one of those people who works best under pressure, the pressure is on! Drop off your decorated bra at our store today, and be sure to come back and enjoy wine and cheese with us at the REVEAL party on Tuesday between 5 and 7pm.

You will have from from the Reveal Party on Tuesday, October 23rd until October 31st to place as many votes as you would like. Voting is a dollar, and all proceeds go to benefit Willamette Valley Cancer Institute Foundation.
