Spring flower of the moment: Tulips

Although tulips can be procured year-round, spring is really their time to shine.  Spring makes its grand entrance as tulips begin to pop up from the ground. Here at Dandelions we carry tulips grown here in Oregon from Greengable Gardens in Philomath. Tulips have an elegant feel to them & they also appeal to those with an artistic flair. Since they continue to grow after they are cut, tulips truly becoming living art as their blossoms open and their stems elongate & curve.

Tulips range in color from green to deep purple

Parrot tulips are popular in spring bridal bouquets

These are "Peony Tulips" that are gorgeous!

Spring flower of the moment: Ranunculus

Ranunculus is finally in season and we are loving have fresh, local blossoms in-store to use in our arrangements and wedding bouquets. This petite bloom comes in almost every color and likens to a perfectly open sweetheart rose or peony. Tulips and daffodils are great spring blooms but ranunculus really embody an ethereal beauty.

Don’t these look just like peonies!!

A nesting theme Baby Shower

This was a cute baby shower we did flowers for. They created a “nesting” theme using the colors of the mother-to-be’s nursery: blue and brown. In addition to flowers, they created welcome kits for the guests that included a pen, items for games, advice cards, and a cookie cutter party favor. So cute!!

The food table piece was reminiscent of a spring forest- tulip & daffodil bulbs popping up from the moss and birds nests nestled in the twigs

Above Left: the “welcome kits” for guests            Above Right: a super cute “bear basket” gift

The nest themed was continued in two smaller arrangements that were woodsy yet simple
