Hyerstay Wedding

This stunning wedding from last April was fun to do and I was so pleased with the final result. These photos from Wendy Gregory Photography highlight some of my favorite images captured from the day. The bride, Liz, utilized flowers and decor to create a stunning backdrop for the ceremony from a space that was otherwise dark and bare. Shimmering candles, mercury glass and fluffy white hydrangeas made a spectacular setting.

Liz’s bridal bouquet was  a mixture of hydrangea, freesia, coral David Austin roses, ranunculus and lots of rhinestones. Her bridesmaids carried bouquets that were color grouped with purple, coral and green. The coral gerondo gerberas added fun texture and were just the right shade! At the reception (40 tables!!) Liz purchased bulk hydrangeas and vases and submerged single white hydrangea blossoms in large cylinders for a simple and elegant DIY centerpiece.

This amazing tan orchid with pink veins looked amazing in this bouquet

An orange and pink bridal bouquet for a “Hawaiian” theme wedding

Although it was a Hawaiian themed wedding, the bride wanted more traditional flowers so we brought in white freesia that were reminiscent of plumeria

These unique tan and pink orchids brought a touch of tropical

The starting bouquet created in shades of green including hydrangea, green trick carnations, sedum, rosemary, poppy pods, green chrysanthemums, ti leaves and a moss orb.

The light green Mega Beaded wire intertwined in this bouquet added a touch of modernity for the bride who likes a little something different

Adding in more natural elements like the curly willow, eucalyptus pods and seed pods turned the green bouquet into a natural and earthy statement.

Stem wrap treatment using 2 shades of bullion wire

Three shades of carnations combined to make this bridesmaid’s bouquet. Grouping the colors together keeps it from looking like polka-dots

A great way to differentiate a bridal or maid of honor bouquet is to add a touch of glam with jewels or crystals

I love this Diamond Wrap that can be used on a stem wrap, around vases or applied to corsages & boutonnieres

A traditional combination of roses and hydrangea get an natural makeover with grasses and pods

Adding interesting foliage keeps these hydrangeas from looking to rounded for this bride who wanted a looser, more natural feel

Green, peachy-coral and purple bridesmaid’s bouquets

One of my favorite bridal bouquet creations to date…the David Austin roses in this were just stunning!

Eugene Weddings: July 27-31

Another week was packed with weddings! We had a total of 5 weddings over the course of the week including a ceremony on both Wednesday and Friday and each wedding had its own, unique look. I made 2 trips out to the gorgeous Whisper N Oaks outside of Junction City where I was very impressed with the grounds. I had never been out there before and it far exceeded my expectations! Here are some shots from last weeks weddings…

Krebs Wedding

The fun and unique sedums are the perfect accent for that eggplant/plum wedding color, which is the “It Color” of the season. This mixture of eggplant, champagne, green & white is fantastic… LOVE IT! These are our own photos but check out these vintage-themed photos from Imagery by Jordan who was on hand to capture the day.

This beautiful wedding took place for the bride, Michelle Krebs and her groom, Nick Nielson, at Domaine Meriwether Winery outside Veneta, Oregon. Congratulations to the bride & groom!

Best Friend’s Wedding

Recently I was in in my best friend’s wedding as well as did all the flowers. Doing friend’s weddings is always more stressful and at the same time so rewarding. It’s important to me that every wedding I do be perfect but it was even more nerve-racking to be in the wedding and see everything throughout the night.

Thankfully she chose beautiful flowers and beautiful colors. It made it a lot of fun to work on and easy to make it special. Hydrangeas were the core of everything we did (hydrangea blossoms down the pews, hydrangea blossoms in square cubes for the centerpieces, and of course in all of our bouquets).

The reception was held at the Country Inn and the huge cake was done by Sweet Life who always does a great job! I was introduced to a new dj, Bass is Loaded, who was probably the best dj I have witnessed as well as the photographers, New Morning Photography.
